Our foundation Street Dance is a great way to introduce EYFS pupils to dance. Dance is a great way to increase fitness and promote flexibility, balance, and coordination. Street Dance is unique in the range of styles it covers and its suitability to young people of all ages. As well as this it increases self-confidence. Pupils will begin to learn the basics of dance and to move to music. They will learn about how to move their body to music with basic choreography.
Our beginner Street Dance is a great way to introduce KS1 pupils to dance. Dance is a great way to increase fitness and promote flexibility, balance, and coordination. Street Dance is unique in the range of styles it covers and its suitability to young people of all ages. As well as this it increases self-confidence. Pupils will learn the basics of street dance, its origins and the different styles that it includes. Pupils start to move to music, with rhythm and in time. They will learn about how to move their body to music with basic choreography.
Our intermediate Street Dance builds on basic knowledge from our beginner level. This dance level will still work on increasing fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination whilst introducing new ways to express themselves. Street Dance is unique in the range of styles it covers and its suitability to young people of all ages, in this level they will be introduced to harder movements and choreography. Pupils will learn longer choreography, develop their own and begin to perform routines to an audience.
Our advanced Street Dance builds on and develops knowledge from our intermediate level. This level will still work on increasing fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination whilst introducing new ways to express themselves through dance. Street Dance is unique in the range of styles it covers and its suitability to young people of all ages, in this level they will develop the harder movements and choreography they worked on in the intermediate level.
