Junior Jam Secures Another Year of HAF Funding!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news – Junior Jam has once again received funding from the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) scheme, allowing us to continue providing FREE summer clubs for children across Bradford!

The HAF programme, funded by the Department for Education, is designed to support families during the school holidays by offering enriching activities and nutritious meals to children who receive benefits-related free school meals. Thanks to this funding, Junior Jam will be running another summer packed with fun, learning, and laughter – completely free of charge for families!

From Sports, Media and Music activities – our summer clubs have something for everyone. We’ve built our sessions to not only be fun and engaging, but to also help children develop key skills, build confidence, and stay active over the break. Each day also includes a healthy lunch, helping to support families with the cost of living.

Junior Jam’s HAF summer clubs are open to children aged 5 to 11 who are eligible for free school meals. We’ll be running clubs across various locations throughout Bradford, making it easy for families to find a site nearby.

We know the school holidays can be a challenging time for many families, both financially and in terms of childcare. That’s why we’re so passionate about what the HAF scheme allows us to do. It’s not just about having fun (although there’s plenty of that!) – it’s about creating safe, supportive environments where children can learn and play.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen the positive impact these clubs have had on children’s wellbeing, confidence, and happiness – and we can’t wait to do it all over again this summer.
