February Half Term Holiday Clubs
It has been a very busy start to 2020 for us at Junior Jam. This month alone we have welcomed several new schools where we will be delivering their PPA cover, and new teachers and instructors. We are upgrading our website and working hard on improving our lesson plans and planning documents to provide an even better-quality service for our partner schools.
February has crept up on us fast, and we are looking forward to running four holiday clubs over February half term. From 17th February to 19th February we are at High Greave Infants in Rotherham doing iCSI. Children will have to solve a murder mystery by undertaking detective and forensic training, before trying to solve the case by dusting for fingerprints, becoming human lie detectors and collecting and analysing evidence from a crime scene. There will also be sports activities running alongside this.
From 17th February to 18th February we will be at Badsley Primary School in Rotherham running a two-day animation club. Using iPads, children will learn how to create and edit their own short animated sequences adding sound effects, music and transitions. Again, sports activities will run alongside.
We will be at Somerlea Park Junior School in Alfreton from 17th February to 19th February running another animation and sports holiday club.
From 18th February to 20th February at Brinsworth Academy in Rotherham we are running our very popular International Week where children take part in a number of workshops that focus on countries from around the world. Children will do Capoeira, Taekwondo, African Drumming, Break Dance, Karate, Samba Drumming, Street Dance, Thai Boxing and Athletics.
All of these clubs were booked by John Bell who is the Extended Services Manager for The Learners Trust. His job is to source extra funding for schools and then manage the funded projects on their behalf, with the aim of creating new enriching educational experiences for children and the wider community.
We run holiday clubs in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, so if you are considering a holiday club in your school then please get in touch. We run clubs for between 35 and 60 children, offering different levels of service depending on your requirements. We can provide an online booking system, support staff and registration if need be. Clubs can focus on themes such as CSI, International Week, Broadway or The Olympics.
