Horsforth Featherbank Activity Day
We previously talked about how we are taking our business to a new level by updating our website and marketing imagery. We did this by conducting a free day of activities at Horsforth Featherbank Primary School with a large number of staff with varied skillsets, so that the children could experience a range of diverse activities. We know that we are the only single provider who can offer such a large range of workshops, and we know how great our staff are, but for myself personally it was fantastic seeing all of this coming together in one day. We work extremely hard in the office to create the lessons, train our instructors and coordinate with schools, and to see the results of this first-hand made me very proud to be part of such a great team.
My role is the sales and recruitment manager, which means I spend a lot of time speaking with schools about their requirements and how we can best deliver PPA cover in their school. The rest of my time is spent on hiring and inducting specialist instructors who teach dance, sports, drama, martial arts, computing, music, French and Spanish. On the activity day at Horsforth Featherbank I was there to ensure our instructors were all happy with the coordination and rotations as we had six classes running at the same time, and those six classes were rotating around our staff throughout the day.
In the morning the children did African Drumming, music production on iPads, Samba Drumming, French, Keyboards and Capoeria. In the afternoon they did Boom Whackers, Singing, animation on iPads, Dhol Drumming, Athletics and programming on iPads. As you can imagine, the children absolutely loved having a fun day off-timetable with so much for them to get involved in.
The school teachers were present throughout the day and the enthusiasm of the children was contagious. They were actively getting involved and there was a constant positive feeling. It was a special day that I feel privileged to have been involved in.
