iMedia PPA cover continues

My PPA cover continues throughout the first half-term and I am settling in nicely at my new schools and feel more at home in the school that I have returned to. Meeting new staff and students and creating new relationships can be exciting especially at my newest school Fieldhead Carr. I teach year 3, 4, 5 and six here but since this is a new school all students are learning how to create a song in iJam Level 1. They will learn about the importance of each section and what instruments are used for different types of music. They will evaluate their own music and their peers and judge what they like or dislike about each others. This way they can improve their own work in comparison. Although meeting new faces can be exciting, seeing old faces is a great experience, you can reminisce about past lessons and conversations, and get to know them closer. Archie is one of the students who has really come out of his shell since last year. Last year he was very shy and needed encouragement but this year he wants to get straight on with the work. I think this is not only since he is more mature now but also due to the PPA time being covered by Junior Jam, a familiar face to take over from the main teacher.
